Project: Piccadilly Two Way Infrastructure Improvements
Client: Westminster City CouncilAs part of a larger strategy to improve the traffic flow in Westminster, Westminster City Council put forward a package of works to convert the existing one way streets of Pall Mall, Piccadilly Circus and St James Street into two way operation. Proposals were also put forward to upgrade the streetscape in the same road as a flagship project in Westminster. The project was carried out by West One Infrastructure services. Working in partnership with West One, Kraven Consulting staff played key roles in developing this project from initial feasibility through to construction and handover.
In particular, we carried out programming and financial management of the project. This was particularly crucial as a section of the project was constructed through a competitive tender situation. Through our assistance, we were able to reduce the cost of the scheme for Westminster Council by nearly £2million.
